@Sassodoro Despite loving both pinot noir and salmon, I’ve never liked the pairing much. Often metallic flavors come as a result and the fruitiness of the pinot is muted by the oiliness salmon. I’d try a rosé if possible or a chilled red like a few have mentioned like Freisa
@RichardHemming @RandallGrahm@jjhorsey10 Lots of Oregon wineries have done this both splitting vineyards biodynamic vs. conventional and in winery doing minimal vs. forced, look at @oregonwinepress articles for more info
@archiespress yea the world knows now, you are good… not sure how NY does it but Colorado department of health has a form to fill out for self-tests at home
@jebdunnuck Boooo… I’m not usually the one for casual Twitter shaming but aren’t there a bunch of good independent plant nurseries and stores in/near Boulder? Support the kind of businesses that you are as a wine critic!! Independent and wayyy more interesting than big box stores.
@birdstobosons@NatalieMelka Dani - I have visual confirmation that most homes directly on Clayton Road are intact and still standing. I will try to post a photo on the Facebook group so you and others can see. One of our neighbors drove by to check on their property in Grand Lake and got some photos.
@CarrieAnnFain@ring Do you live north or south of Stillwater Campground? Looks like the Highlands Marina was torched but it is unclear what the case is north of there but just west of the highway. So many homes immediately to the west of the highway that could have burnt down.
@birdstobosons I followed @JeffreyCook yesterday. He is a reporter who was at the Indian Peaks Marina and has a ton of shots looking north. Can’t see any of the homes across from Stillwater Campground in his videos but that is what made me think the area is not in a great spot.
@birdstobosons My parents are right off the highway in that area too. Really tough to say given what the maps showed but the marina and mobile home park about .5-1 mile south on the highway were torched yesterday so I don’t think it is looking good for that cluster of 15-20 homes...

A very good wine from @adelsheim via @winestyr. 2015 is one of my least favorite vintages in Oregon’s recent history but this bottle was spot on. The nose and palate were certainly more on the rich side. But the… https://t.co/xZgcVFPmZ3
The dog has melted into the patio (it wasn’t hot today though...) but I did drink this bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley over the last few nights. My friend fraulein_frances’ brother runs @curedboulder… https://t.co/L9C7pqovaS
Garden boxes are blooming and this riesling is a solid bet for $15. I can’t speak more highly of the wineries in the fingerlakeswinealliance. This @empireestateflx 2017 dry riesling did the trick on a few hot days… https://t.co/qQiVZjC70U
Bordeaux is still the great revealer. These two sub-$20 bottles have provided endless fascination over the last three days. I’ve said this before but I’m often exhausted by all the new fangled natural approaches to… https://t.co/ReeMBeBkMY
This red made with Listan Prieto vines from bichiwines is produced in the rugged landscape of northern Mexico (!!) and has me in a love/hate relationship only an hour after taking my first sip. I imagine this type of… https://t.co/YEuYT495Wy
Some of the bottles of Nerello Mascalese from Sicily I’ve had lately have a distinct concentrated cherry/cough syrup note to them. While they weren’t bad bottles, I wasn’t pumped about their flavor profile. This… https://t.co/FrvVoUIYwy
