Have recommended many a times most of these commercial vehicle drivers come from lower strata of the society, barely 10th pass, and have little to no sense of traffic rules or public safety.

India should start with compulsory renewal of all
1. Paper based Licenses
2. Licenses issued prior to 2014
3. Compulsory training, sensitization and test of rules to follow when driving
4. Three Strike Process to cancel License
5. Rationalize speeds across highways to 70 / 100 / 120 KMPH
6. Ensure Lane discipline. No commercial vehicle to ply on right most lane
7. Ensure slow moving vehicles like tractors / e Rickshaws / 2 wheelers are not allowed on Expressways for their own safety
8. In case of wrong, denial of insurance money and claims

Unless these steps and many more are implemented I see no chance if improvement in the Basic character of our nation
