Last week, someone was in my dm, worried and confused, telling me that his funded account of 10k is in 2.5% DD and I'd help with advice or anything on how he can recover the account and get a payout.

First of, I told the person, drowdowns means nothing if you have working system, sound risk management and the patience to control yourself, every trader you see go into drowdown all the time, the only difference between profitable and unprofitable traders is how they handle themselves when in drowdown..

Profitable traders don't panic, they don't change strategy or anything, they keep doing what they do regardless in ddd or profit. Profitable traders don't think about the Monetary value of the drowdown amount, neither consider "omg my payout is in 3 days let me force trades to make it" .

In the other hands, the unprofitable trader think dd is the end of the road, they usually do this mistake or placing all their hopes on that funded account, that single trade, and that trigger alot emotions and effect their rational thinking, lead them to over trading and at some instance over leveraging.

So I repeat, dd means nothing, if you don't enter todsy or this week you can enter tomorrow or next week, it's just inevitable, learn to trade in the Zone in whatever situation, prioritize risk management and patience, take only the good setups and follow-the process that's the only way you'll see the result you want.
