This is not the first time Julian Mwangi has allegedly turned violence into a way of life. Last year a maid was reportedly thrown from the 2nd floor after demanding her salary. Another man was allegedly stabbed in the neck after receiving a call from his wife while in her company.

Today another innocent woman is dead. A young life gone in the most horrifying and painful circumstances. The only person who knows exactly what happened is on the run, leaving behind a terrified 5 year old child as the only witness to a horrifying and barbaric act no child should ever witness.

How many warnings were ignored before blood was finally spilled? How many cries for help were dismissed before a mother lost her daughter forever?

This country cannot normalize monsters hiding behind money, influence or family names while poor innocent workers are treated like disposable objects. Domestic workers are human beings. Their blood is not cheaper because they are poor. Their lives are not less valuable because they came looking for work.

I now call upon the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja to personally address this matter and assure Kenyans that justice will not be buried. The country wants to know why a person linked to repeated violent incidents was still walking free until another life was lost.

Julian Mwangi must surrender herself to the police immediately. Her family and relatives in Nyeri must stop protecting silence and help bring her to justice before more lives are destroyed.

The cries of that 5 year old child will haunt this country for a very long time.
