The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, today received the President of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR), Honourable Justice Blaise Tchikaya, at the AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa.
They discussed strengthening cooperation between the AU Commission & the ACHPR in advancing the continental human rights and justice architecture.
They also exchanged views on addressing administrative & budgetary challenges facing the Court, promoting wider ratification of African legal instruments, & enhancing Member States’ implementation of the Court’s decisions & judgments.
