@JohnDreker WBC had "mercy" rules, call the game if a there's a 15 run lead after 5 innings or a 10 run lead after 7. Like an early walkoff rather than a prolonged blowout.
@RLSandack@thescorechicago@DavidHaugh If Mully starts a paid Substack or podcast or both I'll sign up right away. I know he'll find readers and listeners pronto.
@jeffreytucker I don't understand this chart. The headline implies a time series (1970-2023) but the axes represent cost vs life expectancy. That should yield one data point per country. Should there be a third axis labeled year?
@GuntherEagleman Which cancer does it "prevent" and for how long? What's the NNT? It's a bogus question to start with, worthless if you exclude details.
@uTobian In 1995 Charlie Munger said "Show me the incentive and I'll show you the outcome." In 2010 the Affordable Care Act redirected the incentives of medicine toward constant revenue growth of large corporations. A constantly growing stream of ever-sicker patients achieves that.
@Censored4sure Review the fine print; the jab they just announced "prevents" recurrence for a limited time. You have to get jabbed over and over to maintain "prevention." Sound familiar?
