So I just want to rant…

I’d title this rant: Diary of an ambitious Nigerian in her 20s

I’m tired‼️
Tired of the uncertainty that comes with this phase of my life‼️
Tired of how weighty decisions are and how a single decision can shape your life for the next 5 years‼️
Tired of constantly feeling like I’m running out of time‼️
Tired of living in the fear that in a couple of years I’d look in hindsight and wish I did things differently ‼️
Tired of not knowing what to do or when to do them ‼️
Tired of feeling like I’m the only confused person and everyone my age already knows what they want‼️

Should I change jobs?
Should I change career path?
Should I do a masters? What country should I apply? When should I do it?
Should i write IELTS and japa through express entry?
Should I get married?
Should I do a professional certification? Should I stay where i am seeing that I’m not doing badly?
Or should I yearn for more?

I’ve had older people tell me to give myself some grace❤️
I’ve had younger people tell me they look up to me. ❤️
I’ve had my equals tell me to cut myself some slack and that I’m doing just well enough❤️

Indeed, i’ve read severally that your 20s is the period of an overwhelming amount of uncertainty. It’s the period of starting over and trying new things. It’s the period of attempting to discover yourself and find purpose ‼️‼️

I know, but I’m tired‼️

…and CLARITY seems like a luxury which I cannot afford
