In June 2021, I and a group of friends raised attention to what injustices in the process of release of marks and graduation at LDC. @elisonk was one of the few practitioners to reach out to us, empathise with our cause, and urge others to listen to us, and for solutions to be found.
In the time hence, I have come to know him as a friend and have had the honor of engaging with him as an adversary and as a colleague.
In him I’ve found a warm and kind person who has a real and genuine zeal to have the judiciary work for all, to remove the barriers to justice and to achieve an independent, efficient and effective judiciary.
I have been happy to find in him support for causes for injustice and a deep hatred for unfairness or illegality. I have found a blazing determination to change things and make things work NOW!
Therefore, whereas I have typically taken a stance against endorsing candidates in society elections, I find that I must make a happy exception.
I’m confident that Elison has the relevant knowledge, experience, energy and conviction to represent the society at JSC, and to undertake the crucial work of reforming and enhancing the justice system.
Mr. Karuhanga therefore receives my firm endorsement, and I encourage my fellow members of the society to unreservedly vote him.

Awuuuuhh 🗣... The battle cry has been sounded 🥁.
Ready or not, move, we must. There is a new sheriff in town called @IsaacSsemakadde, and this one is "not for jokes [sic]." 😂
Did you know that more baby boys are born during war than baby girls 🤔? Apparently, it is more than just a folklore or an old wives' tale, and research conducted after World War II proved it 🤩.
So, personally, "nze nga nze" read "me as me", i have no problem with this Council. We voted them all in, with our eyes wide open 🙈.
Besides, we also had our turn with an almost all female 👸 @ug_lawsociety Council in 2020 & 2021.
Also, don't even get me started on how that group was formed solely to crush the initial all-inclusive female committee, previously headed by PK 🙄!
Byebyo 🤣🤣 Happy New Month 😀. Jah bless ✌️👊.
Our partner @jet_tumwebaze appeared this morning on behalf of the Estate of the late (Nzabimana Edouard) before the @EACJCourt First Instance Division over alleged denial of the right of ownership of a land property.
The case, Reference No. 23 of 2019 Nzambimana Edouard (deceased) Vs. The Attorney General of the Republic of Burundi). The Applicant alleges that he is the rightful owner of piece of land he bought from RUZIZI Company and that the Respondent through its agents and organs has violated the @jumuiya Treaty by denying him the right to use, enjoy and dispose of his property exclusively, thus violating the provisions of Article 16 of the Land Code and all Articles in the section which devote and protect the right of ownership.
The court heard both parties' submissions and will deliver the judgment on notice
