I told the school that my nephew wont attend Saturday classes. It’s outside the Ministry’s timetable. What is a P.3 child doing at school on a Saturday?, not a sports event, or co-curricular but in class, studying.
They removed me from the group. He is in P.4 and still doesn’t go. Whether P.7, I told him to defend his right to rest. No school on Saturday, unless Govt says so.
Words like “favorable” instead of “favourable” disturb my sight! “Color”instead of “colour”, “Honorable” instead of “Honourable”…particularly in official documents!!!
Which 120K, Mbale we pay upwards of 300k. The exploitation isn't even the worst part; they're packed in a bus , leave Mbale for K'la at 3am and come back 3am the next day. Basically all this is done in under 24 hours. Imagine the exhaustion to both the kids and the driver!
We’re sending a strong warning to schools that still take s.4 students to kasenyi landing site mbu for study tour… stop it this yr.
What’s there to study in kansnyi landing site?
And after dealing with you , we will attack primary schools that pack kids in buses and drive them to the zoo and old ebbs airport mbu for a school tour… only to feed them Riham soda and pilau in a white kaveera Kyoka nga you’ve forced parents to pay Shs 120 k for each child.
This yr , we the parents are woke … teli kutubba….
A school trip must be outside the country not taking kids to kyenjojo!!
Kenyans don't enjoy the freedom of expression because of the benevolence of President Ruto (or Kenyatta or Kibaki before him).
They have these rights because they fought for them and enshrined them in the constitution. Mwanaisha was my senior at KTN and should know this
Uganda may have some of the most pot-holed roads for a capital city, but it has an unusual and truly impressive African record - the fastest issuance and renewal of a driving licence to drive on those roads!
10 AFRICAN LEADERS IN FAST DRIVING LICENSE ISSUANCE & RENEWAL
1. Uganda: 60 Minutes and less for a new long-term licence.
2. Mauritius: 1-2 Hours.
3. Kenya: Instant, but only for 1-year renewal. Otherwise weeks.
4. Rwanda: 1 Day.
5. Morocco: Same-Day.
6. Egypt: Same-Day.
7. South Africa: Hours in some metros.
8. Botswana: 24 Hours.
9. Ghana: 1-2 Days.
10: Nigeria: 2- 5 Days.

Agreed. And not just kenya, I don't know if it's the whole Africa or just EA. I live in Uganda and can go for 6m without seeing someone smoking. However foreigners seem to get away with it especially in the coast. We really struggled with that when we visited Diani last year.
Yesterday I watched a report on NTV that genuinely disturbed me.
A police officer, Nyongesa, openly said they cannot implement a court order.
The case involves Gatoto School, a private school that was taken over by the government. Locals went to court and obtained an order stopping the takeover. The government ignored it. Protests followed. And locals were arrested.
What is troubling is this: enforcing the order was not complicated. All that was needed was security, so learning could resume.
This leaves me asking, how is democracy supposed to work when the government ignores court orders?
Citizens obey taxes passed by Parliament.
Citizens obey directives from the Executive.
But when courts issue orders, the government suddenly "cannot comply."
And yet the police are supposed to be impartial.
If this behaviour is normalised, then democracy itself is at risk.
Courts must have real power to sanction leaders who ignore their orders.

What we need is to have guard rails between Mbale industrial park and Maili 5 on the Mbale-Tirinyi highway. we have lost so many lives on that section when having guard rails could have helped so much.
We don’t talk enough about men who don’t cheat❤️ the peace??? Knowing exactly where he is & what he’s doing??? Love that doesn’t make you question a thing??? UNREAL
I worked in Upperhill & used to walk to South B to avoid sitting in traffic for 2-3hrs during rush hour every evening. When I moved to Kilimani I did the same… I promise you once you hit your 10-15K steps daily on your way home it’s about saving time & staying healthy, not money
@UgEquityBank I don't think getting my number will have any impact nor help much. The people you need to be calling are the branch and operations manager, Mbale. Thank you.
@UgEquityBank what will it take for you to replace the ATM in the Mbale branch. It wasn't working this whole weekend and it still isn't. These occurrences are so rampant, it's just frustrating. We only have one machine in Mbale and most of the times it doesn't work.
