@grok@weened@jdy85@yegwave@realDonaldTrump@grok It was a hypothetical question I asked. Myself as an Albertan I know that in the hypothetical event of Alberta separating Canada the red tape from the indigenous in British Columbia would be a big factor. Alberta can work out a deal with USA under those circumstances?
@grok@weened@jdy85@yegwave@grok what are the odds that in the event of Alberta separating Canada would the USA make a trade deal to Alberta to access the west coast and sell their crude oil abroad during a @realDonaldTrump presidency?
@jdy85@yegwave International law states that any landlocked country must have access to an ocean. So whether Canada or the USA will accommodate us is not even a question.
@TheeBuckCanuck @thechronicgrows @mrsunshinebaby I doubt B.C. will play ball. Eby is making it hard to get a deal done. Also with the indigenous land claim debacle happening in that communist province investing would be hard. Sask and Manitoba are willing to play ball. Also the Americans, they live out crude oil.
The last week has tested me...
Everything seems to be falling apart.
Sometimes the universe shakes our world to realign us. The hardest times form something sacred.
Trust the transformation, trust the lesson, and trust that what’s rising will be stronger than what fell away.
@TheeBuckCanuck @thechronicgrows @mrsunshinebaby The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) addresses the rights of landlocked countries to access the sea, specifically in Article 125, which grants them the right of access to and from the sea and freedom of transit through transit states.
Alberta’s population boom isn’t sitting well with many Edmontonians. A new CityNews–Canada Pulse Insights poll found most residents now link immigration to worsening local problems — from crowded hospitals to housing shortages.
Over half (52%) say newcomers aren’t having a positive impact, while 37% want immigration halted completely. Nearly 60% blame immigration for packed ERs, 64% for the housing crisis, and 69% for youth job struggles.
Jobs Minister Joseph Schow says the pace of growth is “too high,” arguing Alberta can’t keep up with demands on housing, healthcare, and education.
@elonmusk All the promises Zorhan is making are the same one’s the Ayatollah promised the people of Iran.
The Trojan horse of tyranny follow the calls for liberation. Every single time.
