Matabeleland South Youth Honour Vice President Mohadi
At a recent sports gala in Beitbridge, Matabeleland South youths celebrated the life and achievements of Vice President Hon. Dr. K.C.D. Mohadi, which also coincided with his birthday.
The Vice President used the occasion to inspire the youth, urging them to believe in their dreams with the same conviction he and others had for an independent Zimbabwe. He strongly discouraged drug and substance abuse, emphasizing the nation's need for determined individuals to help achieve Vision 2030.
Adding to the tributes, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Honourable Mangaliso Ndlovu, praised His Excellency's recent accomplishment of receiving an honorary doctorate in Social Sciences and Leadership from Great Zimbabwe University.
The event featured a competitive sports gala where twelve district teams participated in football and netball. Gwanda South emerged as the football champions, while Beitbridge East won the top prize in netball. Both winning teams received cash prizes of 125 thousand rands and new kits.
His Excellency, the President, Dr. Emmerson Mnangagwa, has inspected the Guard of Honour and granted permission for the parade to deliver drill displays. The displays reflect the discipline and precision of the graduating officers, bringing to conclusion six months of intensive training.

I have arrived at the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) Ntabazinduna Training School in Matabeleland North Province, where I will preside over the pass-out parade for Courses 156 and 157.
A total of 1,195 correctional officer recruits are graduating after completing six months of intensive training, marking an important milestone in strengthening our correctional and rehabilitation services.

H.E President Emmerson Mnangagwa has left for Moscow, Russia, where he will attend this year's Victory Day Commemorations.
