Visited our friend @JimiWanjigi's home in Nairobi this morning with my sister @MarthaKarua and met his dear wife,mother and children who were seriously traumatized by the ongoing police raid that has been conducted overnight without any warrants. No doubt the raid is a Politically instigated witchunt that's meant to harass,intimidate and silence not just Hon Wanjigi but the Kenyan opposition. Today, I officially took over as the Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs from my predecessor H.E @Waziri_Mvurya.

In attendance during the handing over ceremony held at the Ministerial headquarters in Nairobi were senior officials led by Principal Secretaries Mr. @ElijahGMwangi (Mining), Ms. @PS_Betsy_Njagi (Blue Economy and Fisheries) and Hon. @GeoffreyKaituko (Maritime Affairs and Shipping) among others.
