Gembu Road: A 60-Year Promise Finally Fulfilled Under President Tinubu.
After hearing the voices of communities living around this corridor you will know that there is no way history will not be kind to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
For the people of Gembu in Taraba State, the completion of the Gembu road is more than just a road project it is the fulfilment of a promise that had remained unfulfilled for decades.
Since 1961, successive governments had promised to address this critical infrastructure challenge, yet the people continued to endure the difficult terrain, especially during the rainy season.
Today, under President Tinubu, that long-standing promise is becoming a reality. In just over two years, the people of Gembu and surrounding communities can now travel more safely and smoothly, including across the Taraba River.
For years, the difficult terrain and unsafe river crossings claimed hundreds of lives, with boat mishaps becoming tragically common during the rainy season.
Now, a project that generations of governments promised but could not deliver is finally being addressed.
This is what development looks like: turning decades of promises into reality and connecting communities that had waited far too long.
For the good people of Taraba, the Gembu road will undoubtedly remain one of the projects they remember when it is time to decide who deserves another mandate.
Promises made. Promises fulfilled. A new chapter for Gembu and Taraba State.

Ondo has signed a $362m deal for a titanium plant that would process Nigerian ore into higher-value products at home.
If delivered, it could create 800+ direct jobs and thousands more across the supply chain.
Ladies and gentlemen, there’s hope.
Kaduna has integrated mental-health care into regular public healthcare, with 100 workers already trained.
That means more people can get help earlier, closer to home, without waiting for a specialist hospital.
Ladies and gentlemen, there’s hope.
JUST IN: The FG has ordered all government offices to buy vehicles only from approved companies that assemble cars in Nigeria. Under the Nigeria First Policy, buying vehicles from abroad now requires the President’s approval. This will support local jobs and businesses.
Pinned tweet. I want to start a weekly highlight of major developments in Ogun State.
This one is the test run. Reactions will determine whether we continue or not.
