@CWTips@brc_org@CWtips Grateful for the recognition. As many talk about housing affordability, @brc_org is acting, building and doing it at affordable levels using innovative financing. #comebuildwithBRC
@davidaxelrod But somehow you don’t find Mamdani’s rhetoric inflammatory? Shouldn’t a mayor be able to disavow hate speech, not embrace it? Foreign policy is a small component of a mayor’s responsibility; it had no place in a mayoral campaign.
@cnnbrk@cnn @bencnn the hostages were not released, they were not freed, because Hamas refuses to do so; they were rescued by Israel. Get it right, please.
@ChrisVanHollen@POTUS So if it’s a partnership, what are you prepared to do to stop Hamas, which pledged to repeat its attacks on Israel;
uses civilians as human shields;
refuses to allow civilians to shelter in its tunnels or to allow those tunnels to be used to distribute humanitarian aid???
@StillFilmsDoc First might be to see if they want help. If that feels awkward or uncomfortable (which it might) then call 311 if you believe it’s not life threatening or 911 if it is. If 311 then an outreach team will be sent (maybe ours, maybe another) or if 911 then EMTs or medics.
@StillFilmsDoc Our peak operations are overnight and most vans return to base early morning, and we don’t run every van all shifts. So there will always be some vans in the area. If this is a problem for you and we can adjust in some way, DM me.
@StillFilmsDoc Thanks for asking. These vans support our homeless outreach teams that deploy citywide 24/7, primarily to the subway and commuter rail stations. We are based in the neighborhood and the vehicles park where they can. 1/
@timkaine Why? Because congress isn’t doing its job. Work across the aisle to pass aid for Ukraine and Israel and an immigration compromise. But the world can’t wait while you’re on vacation.
@BernieSanders@BernieSanders. It can stop. Hamas can release the hostages. Hamas can disarm. Hamas terrorists can go to other foreign countries. Why won’t Hamas act in a way that will save lives? Because Hamas has indiscriminate concern for human life. Arab or Jew. Palestinian or Israeli.
@paris_estate@brc_org@paris_estate I agree! Tim and Ruthlyne are great! So are you, helping @brc_org and @NYCDHS@NYCMayor house the unhoused. And there are more great people like them here at BRC, where last year we helped over 1,000 people move from homelessness to home. #GSD
@CWTips@NYHomeless Honored and grateful for the recognition of @CWTips , today and every day. We are making impact; last year we assisted over 1,000 individuals transition from temporary to permanent housing, a 47% increase over the prior year. Find us at https://t.co/ubLcp480PH

@brc_org looking forward to working with you on new housing with rents less than half that current average and that will be affordable to people with less income.
NEW: Rents in Manhattan have just broken another astounding record.
Avg monthly rent:
* Overall: $5,142
* Studios: $3,152
* 1 bed: $4,247
* 2 bed: $6,193
* 3 bed: $10,058
We DESPERATELY need to address the affordability crisis.
(And memo to the haters: Yes NYC is coming back)
