Attention Players and Parents:
When deciding which $6-10k travel
program is worth the money, pay attention to how many of their players play at the D2/D3 level.
This is a DIRECT reflection of how hard the program works for their players. @CoachSwit @BluebookBeede
When will the adults in sports take over?
Had a HS player of mine playing in a @PerfectGameUSA tournament and scheduled to play at 9pm last night (game was delayed) and then scheduled to play again at 8am this morning over an hour away.
Absolutely absurd.
Charles is an 80-grade human being and competitor. Anyone who has ever coached him or has shared a dugout with him would say the same. Arkansas isn't even playing tonight without him.
Baseball is ruthless sometimes. And players that care…. I mean really care, have a hard time overcoming the feeling they have let down their team, coaches, and fan base by making a mistake that changes an outcome. We (players) wear our mistakes and if not careful, will can let them define us. For a long time… The CWS is the biggest stage of college baseball. My heart goes out to any player who makes a mistake that becomes pivotal in the outcome. I sure hope everyone around any player that is crushed, will lift them up immediately. Baseball is a game. It does not define us. I hope no one would ever make social media posts bashing a college athlete for a mistake they made. They are in the arena. And crap happens sometimes. They are all putting their heart on the line. Every single pitch. The weight of what a player feels they are responsible can be crushing… and it’s even worse in the world of social media, where it gets shown over and over.
@jamarkus_j 💯 this has become the wild West. The NCAA is to blame for this. They still don’t have specifics on how many players they can carry in the fall as compared to the spring. That said, some programs handle it much better than others. This one is a disgrace.
Proud is an understatement. His hard work and determination has led up to today. We can’t wait to watch him become a Toledo Rocket in the classroom and on the baseball field. Today he signed his National Letter of Intent.
