The Marriage Act under section 6 only provides for 5 types of marriages and come we stay is not one of them. Justice Mabeya however observed that though not expressly provided for in the Act they are still recognized in Kenya. @InitiativeMvuli #youarestillsingleif

Just recently a woman claimed to be the wife of a young man. The man denied the claim and stated that he had just rented out one room to the lady and she was paying rent. This therefore leads us to the questions what does the law say.
