Here’s Mr Tiegnan again chilling with another side chick, probably in the cascades of Banfora, in the southwestern region of Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, thanks to public funds he embezzled.

While listening to his trial, I felt like Mr Tiegnan is trying to drag everyone else down with him, and I trust that the judges will give a fair trial to everyone involved.

Mr Tiegnan said that whenever he was able to cash out a check, that they were equitably sharing the money. But his accomplices said that it wasn’t always the case.

For instance, one of the accomplices said that, the first check that Tiegnan asked him to cash out, that it was 14M CFA francs, and that he gave him 5M CFA francs. So, it means that on their first deal, Tiegnan pocketed 9M francs.

Still with the same accomplice, his second check that he cashed out was 7.5M francs, and that Tiegnan gave him 3M francs out of it, meaning the took 4.5M for himself.

So, my question is: how can Mr Tiegnan claim that the money was being equitably shared? He is lying and is trying to sink everyone else.

🛑 Burkina Faso 🇧🇫- The trial of those who embezzled public funds is still ongoing.

The individuals who embezzled more than 3 billion CFA francs ($5M) is still ongoing. The fat guy is the mastermind behind all this embezzlement, because he was the one who imitated the signatures of his superiors to cash out the checks. His name is Amidou Tiegnan.

The woman and those sitting next to him are the accomplices. The man standing in front of the tribunal is their superior, Mr Ye Yake Camille.

Here’s what Mr Ye said in court this morning:

“I started work on March 7, 2023... I filed a complaint against TIEGNAN for signature theft, for forgery and use of forgery.... I do not acknowledge having given a specimen of my signature to TIEGNAN,” he said.

“In November 2023, I expressed the need for staff to replace TIEGNAN because I noticed shortcomings...I made arrangements so that TIEGNAN's account does not have a certain threshold.”

Mr Ye added, “I estimate the shortfall in irregular cash outflows at 3,166,000,000 CFA francs ($5M). This sum should be in TIEGNAN's account, but I only found 600,000,000 CFA francs ($960k).”

Mr Ye continued, “From January to September 2024, TIEGNAN issued checks worth 1,880,000,000 CFA francs ($3M) in his own name.”

TIEGNAN rejects this statement, maintaining that the latter gave him a specimen of his signature for use if necessary.

So, the trial is still ongoing!
