This was my Shoe when I started Selling cars as a Broker In Mombasa. I had bought it in Nairobi during my graduation from the university of nairobi a few years before.
In an effort to remain sharp and professional I had to put them on daily with the hope of meeting a potential client. When the sole opened up I would stuff carton boxes beneath the inner sole so as to get a little bit comfortable.
I did not give up in any way. Things were tough too. There Are days I would come from town with 20 shillings. That would be used to buy my daughter pampers for the night with the hope she wouldn't spoil it early in the night.
I remember one day when We had just gone to bed at 10pm & put her on the last piece of diaper we had.
She messed it up with poop yet I was only left with 20 shillings meant to be my bus fare from shimanzi to town. I bought the diaper and walked all through.
The big break came that day when I sold my first car a subaru Outback to a childhood friend in late 2019. He had been seeing my posts on my status and decided to give me a surprise. I picked a commission of 50,000 from that first sale.
That evening I came home with shopping worth Kes.20,000/=.
My wife felt surprised. I finally bought her hair oil. From using Cooking oil on her hair to Genuine Beauty oil that smells nice.
She has never looked bad or lacked ever again to this date.
Damn ! I think of those days and realize the power of not giving up.
Consistency opens doors . The Man above us all listens and tests you for a season and for a reason.
I am a Muslim however I know of a man called Job in the bible whom God tested to a point He lost everything and later God uplifted Him.
To all the young Men and Women trying to make it in these tough times I urge you never give up !
It will never be easy. There are days you will go to bed hungry and feel desperate. Never give in. Take Some Salt and Lick. Drink water and sleep. This takes away Hunger. (My wife did this to us anytime we slept without food).
As long as you are trying to change your situation through genuine hard work then it means you are growing. Struggle is the first sign of growth.
No matter the situation do not give up. Do not cry about your situation, do something about it.
