Wilson was approached around late 2021 by Joel Wakayima (a Ugandan based in Switzerland) seeking a company to provide security/paramilitary training and related support to Ugandans (in-country and diaspora) allegedly aimed at overthrowing the Ugandan government. Wilson reported the contact via a Somalia-linked connection to a senior UPDF officer (Brig. Gen./Gen. Richard Otto) and continued engagement as an undercover informant under Ugandan security guidance (linked to what was then the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence / CMI and related channels).
He posed as a wealthy foreign financier / representative of a fictitious Kurdish firm or company offering substantial resources: up to $5 million (to be placed in a Dubai account accessible to Besigye), weapons (hand grenades code-named “pineapples,” drones, surface-to-air missiles, firearms, ricin poison), paramilitary training (for groups of ~40–60 people, including advanced elements involving explosives and drones), and other support. In return, the cover story sought business concessions such as banking access (including for illicit activity), visas, licenses, airfield use, and safe-haven arrangements. He used a fictitious company, imaginary associates, and extensive covert recording equipment (cameras hidden in power banks, wall/USB chargers, necklaces, flowerpots, magnetic recorders, WiFi cameras, etc.). Recordings, screenshots of chats (WhatsApp/Telegram), phone data, and related materials were later provided to Ugandan investigators (including hard drives to avoid airport interception risks).

Key claimed interactions and allegations from his testimony (these remain contested allegations in an ongoing trial):
Introductions and meetings involving Wakayima, former MP Proscovia Salaamu Musumba, Besigye, Lutale, and others (online, Brussels, Geneva/Switzerland including October 2023 and January 2024 Athens/Greece, Nairobi/Kenya including November 2024).
Discussions of shadow government structures, training (including under journalistic cover), counterfeit currency to destabilize the economy, targeting military installations/barracks, drone attacks (including potential assassination of Museveni or disruption at Entebbe airport), grenade attacks (e.g., at Café Javas), poisoning, and post-assassination governance with claimed support from senior serving military officers.
Provision of $5,000 (alleged) to facilitate movement of ~36 people to Kisumu, Kenya, for training (recruits reportedly intercepted/deported). Training plans ultimately did not proceed as Wilson deliberately failed to deliver the promised support after gathering evidence.
Hand-over of materials to Ugandan contacts (including reports to figures linked to military intelligence).

Brother, the woman just got consecrated as a bishop after 20 years of actual ministry. The family marked it. The father (who happens to be the President) marked it. Half the country saw it. And your analysis is the digital equivalent of sucking your teeth in the corner. This is the same energy as someone attending a graduation, watching the person walk across the stage, then muttering “eh… which certificate?” under their breath because they’re still bitter about something from three elections ago. You’re in PLU leadership, an MP, a respected man with a title… and you still can’t let a family celebrate without turning it into a micro-aggression. That’s not principle.
