😌Oscar tuvo que irse de su casa, vive con miedo, sufre ataques de ansiedad, pánico y pesadillas. Dice que ya no puede vivir tranquilo y teme que vuelvan a hacerle daño.
📂Este caso no puede quedar enterrado solo porque el señalado tiene dinero, contactos y poder. Cuando una persona denuncia un acto tan grave y además presenta pruebas tangibles, las autoridades deben investigar, no proteger al poderoso.

It's not shocking, not at all.

Not to anyone paying attention the last 4 years. Mario Cristobal's incessant ability to pull defeat from the jaws of victory is simply mind-boggling.

It seems it's simply beyond Mario Cristobal's skill level to get this team up to play in a do-or-die game, no matter what. This was their Mt. Everest game...win this, put the choking behind them, prove they can beat a darn good defense and look forward to a relatively easy schedule. They had two weeks to prepare.

Instead, Mario let them show up like they didn't give a damn and were hung over after a lost weekend bender. And from the outside, it looks like their sloppy, undisciplined, entitled and unfocused play keeps on happening because apparently there are no repercussions in the Hurricanes football program for taking plays off, engaging in costly and stupid selfish penalties, not focusing at critical moments or simply just not caring. Players continue to make these costly gaffs because there appears to be no accountability; no one lays unpleasant consequences down on them whenever they've done it in the past, so why fear it today?

Mario isn't talentless. He has shown at FIU, Alabama and Oregon that he is a first and foremost, a recruiter. Excellent recruiter, no question about it.

Second, he is a very good O-line coach. He's produced outstanding players that have gone on to be drafted in the NFL.

But that's it. That's where it ends. That is the ceiling of his skill levels. Expecting him to produce more than he can isn't realistic. This isn't new. Look at his coaching history. What justified thinking he can leap the big gap and suddenly become the next Kirby Smart? I could be wrong, and as a Canes fan I'd love to be. But I see no evidence that will happen with Mario.

No one hates him. He's a good guy. But like Manny Diaz before him, like Mark Richt before him, like Al Golden before him, like Randy Shannon before him, all very good guys, he is simply in over his head as a Head Coach.

Cristobal gets out-coached 10 to 1 on a regular basis by other HC's leading teams with less than half the talent of Miami and only 80% of the size. He has no clue how to play chess in real time...he's playing checkers while guys like Jeff Brohm and Brent Key (and damned near Mike Norvell) are running circles around him. He simply doesn't have the alacrity of thought, creativity, originality, anticipation, tactical mindset, ability to motivate or prepare, in order to run a program like the Miami Hurricanes.

2022? Disaster. Lost to something called the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders. At home. In Miami. Then lost after the bye week to a pretty bad Tarheels squad, mainly by fumbling the game away. Then went on to lose 5 out of 8 of the remaining games in a complete collapse of the rest of the season.

2023? The Georgia Tech game, the last 1:00 of playing time. Simply too blind or stubborn to see the horrible down side of running the ball in the rain against a physical opponent, when he could kneel and win. Then sees his horrible secondary get totally lost, burned and blown away while they give up a humiliating 44 yard TD pass with 10 seconds left. Then they lost 4 of the last 7 games in a complete collapse of the rest the season.

Then a humiliating loss to Rutgers in the Pinstripe Bowl.

2024? Started off strong, with a cupcake schedule. Then Mario again inexplicably failed to prep the team properly or game plan for Week 11 and got embarrassed by a 7-5 GA Tech squad. Then let his team once again go in a shell and quit, then lost 2 of the last 3 games, in a complete collapse of the rest of the season.

Then yet another futile effort in a bowl game, as they lost to Iowa State, allowing 42 points as the defense went totally to sleep for four quarters.

2025? Started off strong, and (credit due) even eeked out a tough win against the Fighting Irish. But 4 weeks of hearing themselves called "Truly a great team, the real #1!" and "The U is back baby!" noise, they simply stopped playing and caring with 4 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter of a heated rivalry game against FSU. They barely survived, letting the Noles score 19 unanswered points while their OC took a nap and their offence did f**k all the last quarter. It was a win that felt like a bitter loss. And it was a foreshadow of 'Classic' Mario Cristobal.

The Canes moved up to #2 in the polls. They bragged about being 'State Champ' having beat UF, FSU and USF. They got full of themselves and wasted two weeks of prep that could've ensured they'd beat the last truly tough team on their schedule. They came out flat as the Kansas prairie and behaved as if they didn't give a damn, both coaches and players. The didn't wake up and decide to start playing until the fumble with about 7:40 to go in the game.

Another massively humiliating loss at home against an unranked opponent they had zero business being close in score to, much less losing to. No focus, poor game plan, no hustle, no passionate effort, no imagination, but plenty of holding, false starts, interceptions, dropped passes, hideous time management at the end...sloppy, unfocused, undisciplined and unprepared. Again.

Nothing's changed in 4 years with Cristobal. These characteristics ARE the pattern of his coaching career. That's Mario in a nutshell. This performance IS what the program is going to get, period.

All that remains to complete the pattern for this season is for the Canes to lose one or more of the remaining 6 games in what would be a classic complete collapse of the rest of the season.

This program has become a joke. I don't think any really truly aggressive, intelligent and effective head coaching staff anywhere in the nation fears Miami. Not anymore. They know if they call a clever game and simply make almost no mistakes, Miami will step on their own feet and give them huge opportunities to win. I would imagine behind closed door many opposing head coaches say "Don't give up, the Canes will choke. They always do, they're coached poorly. Stay in the fight, keep it close and wait until they crack, until they quit, until they get bored, until they make repeated stupid mistakes, because they will. Then we'll close it out and win."

Mario is just the latest in a line of wannabes that are simply punching way, way above their weight and losing. Badly.

Fun Fact - In the last 20 years, the Hurricanes have won precisely TWO bowl games while losing THIRTEEN. Have a look at the attached image, and see how the Miami program conducts itself in the last 25 years in the post season, laying eggs and rolling over and surrendering in bowls with such epic, legendary names like Pinstripe, Cheez-It, Independence and Pop-Tart.

And anyone paying attention since Butch Davis left in 2000 knows the routine. They know the rhythm. They know the wearying, worn out, empty post-loss head coach speeches about "Trusting the process", "Correcting it all and moving forward", "A lot left to play for" and "We'll continue to battle".... blah blah blah.

Shannon, Golden, Richt, Diaz and now Cristobal. All over their head, all better suited to being coordinators, all unable to get over the hump, all lacking killer instinct, all failing over and over when it counted the most.

A gallery of presumably good guys, well-meaning and having certain specific football knowledge. But none with the ability to command an entire program of elite athletes like UM, and make them better through discipline, attention to detail, focus and accountability.

Until UM gets serious and hires a real life, ass kicking alpha male leader who actually understands both sides of the ball and who will hold players accountable for excelling at fundamentals and execution, this program will continue to drift as a wannabe program.

Mario Cristobal is just the latest very well-paid guy that simply can't read the room. He's a decent guy, but the wrong guy with the wrong vision.

He's been handed the keys to a Ferrari 296 GTS, but he stubbornly insists he can make work like a monster truck and pull tree stumps out of the ground.

Again I say, for the 20th season in a row....man, what a sickening, pitiful waste of talent.
