His contract is through the remainder of the 2023 season with a club option on 2024.

The 37-year-old will occupy an INTL Slot and will be added to the roster pending his P-1 Visa and ITC.

Flying back home after a whirlwind 24 hours (we got a show to do tomorrow, damnit), and I just wanna express this:

I first became aware of @NateDiaz209 in 2006. “Nick’s brother is a fighter too?!,” I recall thinking. “That’s pretty damn cool.”

To see how far he’s come, how he’s navigated the fight game waters, came out the other end to the point he’s his own promoter now, fulfilling a boxing dream all while doing it his way, on his terms, and to the beat of his own drum is downright inspiring. It’s worth celebrating. This hardly every happens to MMA fighters.

Very few get to this point. I suspect very few would have thought he’d get to this point back in 2006.

So forget the record, because if you ask me he’s one of the greatest success stories in the history of MMA. He won. He’s set for life. And now he gets to call his own shots, with his own team and playing by his own rules.

That’s every fighter’s dream.
