A map of #Amityville from 1888 shows two large lots owned by E.W. Bourdette mentioned in the previous article as being the area where several skeletons were discovered in 1895. The road running between these two lots was later named Bourdette Place. @lauradidio

Blown away by this RARE FIND - a news clipping published in 1895 states four human skeletons were discovered on Ocean Avenue, #Amityville in what was said to be an Indian burial ground. This is a fact the Amityville Historical Society has repeatedly denied. @lauradidio
