#DeFeo told so many lies over the past 47 years, we will never truly know what was truth and what was fiction. But one thing is clear to me - Ronnie alone was responsible for the #Amityville murders. And that is a lot more scary than the haunting claims that followed it.
Ronald "Butch" DeFeo, Jr. has passed away, taking with him the chance to ever fully come clean about what exactly happened the night of the Amityville murders in November 1974. @lauradidio@PIXScott https://t.co/RNWECa4z23 #amityville#amityvillehorror#defeo

A map of #Amityville from 1888 shows two large lots owned by E.W. Bourdette mentioned in the previous article as being the area where several skeletons were discovered in 1895. The road running between these two lots was later named Bourdette Place. @lauradidio
March 30, 1895 - The Brooklyn Daily Eagle reported on the discovery of "several skeletons on Ocean Ave, #Amityville believed to be the remains of Indians who had a burying ground in this vicinity." Amityville Historical Society, any thoughts? @Newsday@AmityvilleRec@lauradidio
Blown away by this RARE FIND - a news clipping published in 1895 states four human skeletons were discovered on Ocean Avenue, #Amityville in what was said to be an Indian burial ground. This is a fact the Amityville Historical Society has repeatedly denied. @lauradidio
