Elgin Public Library will open 9am to 4pm Tuesday, January 21 to provide a warming facility for the community. Located at 404 North Main Street.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) will have a contractor completing maintenance work on FM 1100 in July. FM 1100 from SH 95 to County Line Road starting on July 17th or the 24th. Message boards notifying the public will be placed on the week of July 10th.
