We loved this post on why mindset matters for junior doctors:
"Resilience for healthcare workers is necessary on a daily basis, but until recently these skills haven’t been formally taught."

So humbled, I will never take the opportunity to disrupt the norm, inspire and change the game for educators & students everywhere! This one is from Malono, Sweden! I’m not stopping - I’m only just getting started #Relentless
Don't ask students what they want to be. It encourages them to define themselves in terms of work.
Ask what they want to do. It shifts attention away from claiming an identity and toward the experience and impact they aspire to have.

One of the most unique parts of our co-creation process was having students draw what they envisioned when they heard My Friend, Failure read aloud. Our illustrator, Alyson, then riffed off of the drawings to create the book we have today. Check out some of their masterpieces!
One thing we heard from students was that they wanted a scarier monster, so our illustrator, Alyson, gave our monster a more intense edge. Here’s how the monster evolved throughout the book creation process!
Meet @AnthonyDethomas a former congressional speech writer and the author of My Friend, Failure. Anthony has been solving problems using design thinking since learning about it in a startup incubator program. In the spirit of learning from failure he's taken up the violin at 26
Meet Christen Daddario, one of the elementary school teachers who helped guide the creation of My Friend, Failure. In addition to sharing the knowledge of someone who owns more than 300 children’s books, Christen gave us a window into what teachers want in a children's book.
Meet Alyson Record, the wicked talented, Nashville-based artist who gave My Friend, Failure its killer illustrations. The best word to describe her is joyful, as she is always looking to spread her enthusiasm through her art + her smile. Check out her work @alysonrecord.com
My Friend, Failure is a growth mindset book written with elementary school students and teachers. It tells the story of a boy who stumbles while working towards his dream, mtg failure face-to-face. By becoming friends with failure, the boy learns the power of embracing failure.
but wanted the people who would ultimately be reading a children's book - students and teachers - to be a key part of the creation process.
The result is My Friend, Failure, a book grounded in what students and teachers need, with hints of some of Anthony's favorite things."
