River Of Light was written during Covid and never released — until today.

Cold Radios - play unknown songs...
Anthemic orphans - to fugitive storms...

The word, according to @ItsMesmerized 👏
"‘It Only Takes a Minute’ still carries My Glass World’s heightened nostalgic imprint, a quality that perfectly aligns with Jamie Telford’s longstanding experience in the music industry"

T⃣ E⃣ N⃣ - Take Me Up
British white soul music for a change showing off the dexterity of Me and Sean with Martyn's simple beat and congas, Jon plugging the funky bass line, and a phone app arpeggiator to top it off…

N⃣ I⃣ N⃣ E⃣ - Faster
Arpeggiated piano & synths over a simple drum and keyboard bass pattern. Outro via Seans sax answering the Wurlitzer piano and guitar. Faster is where its all at...

E⃣ I⃣ G⃣ H⃣ T⃣ - It's Time
As it says on the tin… Love left behind in time, set over a 6/8 repetitive riff on drums and Upright Bass. . Sleazy Sax courtesy of Sean.

S⃣ E⃣ V⃣ E⃣ N⃣ - Where Are You?
I loved Martyn’s drums with Sean’s escalating sax riff and Jon Kensington’s counterpoint bass. Lyrically I was writing about how easily we misunderstand each other, later joined by Ruby Barker’s vocal.

S⃣ I⃣ X⃣ - What are we left with 🚕
An old song & one that was almost left behind. Reminded of its power and lyrical connection with a universal theme. Little Barrie provided a powerful guitar landscape behind the upright piano driven track...

F⃣ I⃣ V⃣ E⃣- You Can Get There 🛸
A deceptively simple ground bass over simple beat gives this a lot of power with overdubs from Wurlitzer and congas. Unwavering musical highlights dropping in and out.

Original artwork by Jane Gifford.
F⃣ O⃣ U⃣ R⃣ - Always fun creating new videos! Track 4 from our Stranded Assets album; Always Another Train - lyrically its about a German serial killer from the second world war period who hung around stations bumping off un-expecting locals.

T⃣ H⃣ R⃣ E⃣ E⃣ - A deceptively simple Wurlitzer keyboard bass and chords overlaid with simple vocal. Added interjections of backing vocals and sax, otherwise it’s persistent and should drill into your head before it heads for the exit.

T⃣ W⃣ O⃣ - You can feel it Coming - a protest song... Various people had a hand in it including Julian Simmons who helped make the repetitive bass so insistent. Plus the highly effective screaming sax from Sean (Read) which crowns the track!

An old song so this version is the synthesis of many versions lyrically and musically. At one point it was called “To be announced” which was lyrically part of every chorus. This version is simpler and clearer, I think...
Featuring the magnificent Stephen Gilchrist on drums...
