I've been part of the "Reformed" movement for about 15 years. Sadly, I've seen many popular Reformed pastors fall by the wayside over the years, mostly due to theological error, but some due to moral failures.

The reality is, that many of the Reformed leaders you see in the spotlight today, in a decade or two (if the Lord tarries) will also have fallen into serious theological error and/or moral failures.

These things are happening amongst all the different "movements" in the American church. From Reformed, Pentecostal, SBC, Mainline Protestant etc...American Christianity is being thoroughly sifted and judgement is here.

My advice. Stick as closely as possible to your local church. Don't get caught up in the "Conference" tours, podcast celebrity pastors movement, popular new "trends" all of which are so commonplace in the Reformed movement.

Like I said above, most of these men who lead these movements and who are popular today, will be exposed as well. Don't attach yourself to closely to anything you cannot touch or observe in daily life. Do not simply become a parrot of another man's convictions and refuse to be made merchandise of.

Read the dead guys. The ones who remained faithful unto the end. The ones whom the Lord had their writings and sermons preserved, like J.C. Ryle. This will help produce lasting fruit in your life. Discern the times. Things are going to get worse before they get better. Seek the Lord while it's still the day, because the darkness is fast approaching.
