I, for one, think it's tight the entire debate around COVID now is accepting the premise everything will remain open and the only differences between the parties is over vaccine and mask mandates. We just completely stopped discussing UI, rent freezes, cash payouts for workers
Is it so goddamn farfetched to just invest in education so teachers, students, & staff have what they need? Are people so Elon Musk brained now that they feel like they have to fart out the most absurd "solutions" to our most unnecessary/avoidable problems?
Parents in NYC public schools are being asked to try to get our children tested b4 returning to school tomorrow. This is an abject failure. If the city wanted testing, they should have provided home tests before the holiday or rapid testing for every student at the door tomorrow.

We need multi-lingual outreach campaign to reach families about test consent forms/protocols. Not everyone follows Twitter & speaks English as primary language.I’m told # of returned forms in many schools is low. Kids can’t get tested w/out signed form. We have lots of work ahead
We’ve received many messages from City Workers across multiple agencies calling out the fact that the city is hiring contracted workers and allowing them to work from home, instead of giving remote work option to its current workers. How does that make sense?? @NYCMayor
