Vertical Jump Height & Club Head Speed 🦵🏽 🏌️♂️
Relevance to golf is explosive force in the legs - NOT how high a player can jump.
Unless accounting for body mass, jump height is not a particularly relevant measure of comparing different players to benchmark.
More mass requires more force for the same height.
When Bryson gained 50+lbs and 18mph club head speed do you think his jump height went up or down? You can be sure it went down, a lot! This doesn’t mean his lower body explosiveness went down. He was just much heavier!
The simple fix is using jump impulse, which takes body mass into account.
