I'm a card carrying member of the Todd Pletcher fan club, but unfortunately, this news is not shocking. It's almost to be expected with most uber successful trainers that their charges will get sidelined at crucial junctures. Are horses more brittle or are they trained too hard?

@JockeyAAdorno DQ may be too much, but you do come out and interfere with the 7. Perhaps your horse sensed the 8 starting to drift over, but sticking left handed and veering into another horse’s path is unfortunately a recipe for a takedown. Seems like stewards don’t take into account herding.

I’m not a fan of CB (I’m team TAP), but holy hell what a disgraceful DQ of Zulu Kingdom. The NYRA steward, Jockey Club steward and Racing Commission steward should all be ashamed of themselves. It’s akin to bad refs who want to insert themselves into games by calling bogus fouls.

I understand the purpose of whip violations; American Pharoah’s Ky Derby win had terrible optics with Espinoza wailing away w/ 32 strikes. But who came up with the idea of limiting strikes to only 6? I guess you have to draw the line somewhere, but 6 strikes? Come on.

Loved seeing 9 different trainers win on the 10-race card at Saratoga today, none named Todd or Chad; although I’m admittedly a TAP fanboy. The trainer with a double (Jeremiah Englehart) is massively underrated. Would be great to see this type of parity on big Saturdays.

Silk Route (who notably foaled the brilliant Taraz in 2017) sold for only $10k this past Fall. Mahmud Mouni signed that ticket. Fast forward to Spring 2025, Mouni signed the ticket for $1.4 mil Tagermeen who debuts in today's 1st at the Spa. Was her price so low bc of her age?
