وُلدت لين في عالمٍ صامت، لا تسمع صوت أمّها ولا ضحكات عائلتها.
وسط الألم والظروف القاسية، سافرت عائلتها من غزة إلى مصر بحثاً عن أملٍ جديد… فرصة واحدة فقط: أن تسمع لين.

بدعم من من حقي أسمع و الإغاثة الإسلامية الأمريكية، خضعت لين لعملية زراعة قوقعة سمعية، لتبدأ رحلة جديدة نحو عالمٍ مليء بالأصوات والحياة.
في هذا الفيديو، يروي والداها رحلة الألم والصبر والأمل… من الخوف قبل العملية، إلى فرحة البداية الجديدة.

Lean Yamen Mohammad Abu Harbeed… a little girl not yet three years old ❤️
Born into a world of silence, Lean could not hear her mother’s voice or the sounds of life around her.
Through hardship and hope, her family traveled from Gaza to Egypt for one chance only: for Lean to hear.
With the support of My Right To Hear and Islamic Relief USA, Lean underwent cochlear implant surgery, the beginning of a new life filled with sound, connection, and hope.

💙 خضع ثلاثة توائم رائعين علي، أيلا، وإلين علاء الدين، بعمر ثلاثة أشهر، لفحوصات سمع في مركز من حقي أسمع للسمع والنطق في مدينة صيدا- لبنان، وذلك للاطمئنان على صحتهم السمعية ومتابعة نموهم السليم منذ الأشهر الأولى من الحياة.

وتأتي هذه الخطوة تأكيداً على أهمية الكشف المبكر عن السمع، لما له من دور أساسي في دعم تطور الطفل اللغوي والتواصلي.

وقد عبّر الأهل عن إعجابهم بالمركز، مثمنين الجهود المبذولة لتأسيس مركز سمع متخصص ومتميز على مستوى جنوب لبنان، يقدّم خدماته الإنسانية والطبية للجميع دون استثناء.

💙 Three beautiful triplets Ali, Ayla, and Elin Alaaeddine, aged just three months, underwent hearing assessments at My Right To Hear Speech & Hearing Center in Sidon, Lebanon, to ensure healthy hearing development and early monitoring during the most important stages of growth.

This highlights the importance of early hearing screening, a vital step in supporting children’s speech, communication, and overall development.

The family expressed their appreciation for the center and praised the efforts dedicated to establishing a specialized hearing center in South Lebanon that provides professional and humanitarian hearing services for everyone without exception.

زهراء… 135 يوماً فقط 💔
نجت من غارة دمّرت منزلها، وخطفت أخيها حيدر وأختها رقية.
اليوم، التقينا بها في مركز من حقي أسمع للسمع والنطق في مدينة صيدا، لبنان. حيث خضعت لفحوصات الأذن الوسطى واستجابة جذع الدماغ (ABR).
والحمد لله، أظهرت النتائج سلامة السمع 🙏
وزهراء قادرة أن تسمع وأن تعيش حياتها كما تستحق.
✨ لأن كل طفل يستحق فرصة جديدة للحياة.

Zahraa… only 135 days old 💔
A baby who survived an airstrike that destroyed her home and took her brother Haidar and sister Ruqaya.
Today, we met her at My Right to Hear in saida, lebanon, where she underwent middle ear tests and an Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR).
and thankfully, the results confirmed healthy hearing 🙏
Zahraa can hear and live the life she deserves.

💛 تفعيل زراعة القوقعة يختلف من طفل لآخر، ومن أسرة لأخرى.
قد تكون الأصوات الأولى مثيرة للبعض،
ومربكة أو مُرهِقة لآخرين،
وقد تحتاج إلى وقت حتى تصبح مألوفة.
لا توجد ردة فعل "صحيحة" أو "خاطئة"،
ولا يوجد جدول زمني واحد يناسب الجميع.
السمع مهارة يتعلّمها الدماغ تدريجياً، بالصبر والتدريب والدعم. والأهم هو توفير بيئة آمنة يشعر فيها الطفل بالتفهّم والتشجيع، في كل مرحلة من رحلته.
كل شعور طبيعي.
وكل خطوة للأمام لها قيمتها. 🌱

💛 Cochlear implant activation looks different for every child and every family.
For some, the first sounds may feel exciting.
For others, they may feel confusing, overwhelming, or even uncomfortable at first.
There is no “right” reaction.
There is no timeline everyone must follow.

❌ الخرافة:
زراعة القوقعة تسبّب ألماً مستمراً أو انزعاجاً يومياً للطفل.
✅ الحقيقة:
الجزء الخارجي من زراعة القوقعة، والذي يُرتدى خلف الأذن، لا يسبّب أي ألم على الإطلاق.
كما أن فترة التعافي بعد العملية الجراحية تكون في الغالب سريعة، وتحت إشراف طبي دقيق.
القلق مفهوم…
لكن الخوف لا يجب أن يكون سبباً في حرمان الطفل من السمع.

بتاريخ 5 اكتوبر 2025 بدأت الطفلة مريم السرة رحلتها نحو السمع بعد معاناة إستمرت لمدة 7 سنوات من خلال زراعة القوقعة السمعية بدعم من جمعية من حقي أسمع وشركة Hear Life في مدينة أدلب السورية.
اليوم الموعد المنتظر لتسمع مريم وأهلها أول استجابة، أول ابتسامة، وأول صوت تسمعه في حياتها.
نشكر الطبيب الجراح حمزة السيد حسن، وأخصائي السمع عبدالكريم المحمد على جهودهما ونجاح العملية.

This marks one of the largest charitable cochlear implant programs for children in Lebanon — and it's just the beginning.

At @MyRightToHear, we have established the first #charitable cochlear implant program in #Lebanon, which will serve #children with #hearing loss of all backgrounds: Lebanese, Syrian Refugees, and Palestinian Refugees. The first phase of the program included 10 children, and was great success. All children are now going through speech and hearing rehab to be able to talk after they could hear for the first time.
This was a result of our strong collaboration with the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS), and the generous support of @TheTradeDesk and @medel.
