Sarah Jakata joined My Trees Trust as a seed collector in 2022, since then, her knowledge of trees and their seeds has grown immensely.
Thanks to our partnership with the United States Forest Service, a seed bank was built in 2023 to protect the seeds from livestock.

By rehabilitating these ecosystems we help strengthen wetlands, ensuring they continue to support diverse life for generations to come.
We’ve successfully trained 360 communal farmers in sustainable agricultural practices, focusing on climate change and environmental management in Chundu, Deve, and Honde Valley.
The anti-poaching team has covered an impressive 5751 kilometres on foot over the past year—equivalent to approximately 15 kilometres every day, all year long. Thanks to the addition of two off-road vehicles, we’ve been able to enhance our patrols and strengthen ground operations
We have established a demonstration nursery at our head office, with a capacity of 33,000 seedlings. This nursery will serve as an educational centre for partners, donors, and funders. It’s a hub for collaboration and innovation in environmental management sustainability.
We've removed a total of 857 snares in 24. Commonly snared species like impala have increased in population and there are fewer reports of large mammals with wire. The large herd of buffalo in Gache Gache, numbering between 400-500, shows very few signs of being snared 🐃
Our Special Projects team has been actively involved in urban greening initiatives, planting over 25000 trees in schools and institutions. By engaging school children in tree-planting activities, we aim to instill the importance of environmental conservation from an early age.
