@MDnightMarawder To add insult to injury, Pope John Paul II fell into Marian worship over it. Whoever the fool was who decided that Catholics can "consecrate" themselves to Mary and offer her their bodies and souls, doomed your church.
@MDnightMarawder The reason the Catholic church has always gotten it wrong is because they insist on prayers and devotions to others like Mary and saints instead of God/Jesus. The church really messed up Jesus' messaging on Mary from Matthew 12:46-50 and Luke 11:27-28 and turned it into this..
@orthobrohammer@JimJatras I realize that the scriptures have proven your church wrong and you are upset about it, but I'm not the one who needs to seek help over it.
@orthobrohammer@JimJatras She never took a vow of piety. Your church lied to you. She was surprised that she was to become pregnant without a man and any woman would be. Don't act so dense.
@orthobrohammer@JimJatras Giving glory to Mary is not what Jesus wants you do and I've already proven that to you through scripture, so why are you so insistent on it?
@JimJatras@orthobrohammer We can prove the Trinity by reading scriptures such as Isaiah 44:6, Isaiah 41:4, and Revelation 1:8 & 18. There are no Bible verses to confirm Mary as "the mother of God". Jesus never called her his mother and referred to her as "woman". He didn't want you praising her.
@JimJatras@orthobrohammer Plus, Mary consummated her marriage in Matthew 1:25 and had other children in Mark 6:3. Other verses like Matthew 12:46-50 and the ones below confirm it.
@orthobrohammer@MarvinMediocre No, you've been brainwashed and misled. You did exactly what Jesus didn't want you to do by putting Mary on a pedestal, pray, and give devotions and feast days to her. You're the one denying God/Jesus and giving glory to another.
@orthobrohammer@MarvinMediocre How silly are you. He said, "God took on human flesh", so he obviously believes in the incarnation. Maybe you need to throw away your Catholic dictionary and find a real one.
@TChapman500 If it's anywhere in the Bible, and Jesus said it was a sin, it's a sin. That's what the narrative tells you. "Biblical text" is God's word. So, listen to what Jesus said in Matthew 4:4 and Luke 4:4 because Jesus is God like He said in Revelation 1:8 & 18.
@MDnightMarawder While we are to take communion "in remembrance of me" like Luke 22:19-20 & 1 Corinthians 11:24-25 say, we are not to focus solely on Jesus' flesh & blood. Jesus is a "quickening Spirit", which is physical, but He can also appear & disappear at will in front of His disciples.
