Sikhs in the UK are allowed to carry knives called Kirpans, but for regular Brits, if they carry a knife the same size, they face a prison sentence

Baptized Sikhs say carrying the kirpan is a mandatory article of faith, and it's non-negotiable

However, the UAE introduced strict rules around carrying them, so many Sikhs residing in or traveling to the UAE opt to leave their kirpan at home or wear a symbolic miniature pendant.

It's time for the UK to do the same

Henry Nowak should not have died in the way he did. Religious traditions matters, but so does public safety. Carrying a blade in public is illegal for most people, so is it reasonable to ask if religious exemptions should still exist? That debate isn't racism, it's public policy

Another half-billion pounds.

That’s £500,000,000 of British taxpayers’ money — announced in seconds — for “urgent air defence” in Ukraine.

When was the last time you saw a detailed breakdown of where the previous billions went?

When was the last time Parliament debated outcomes instead of headlines?

When was the last time the public got transparency on results, oversight, or measurable impact?

We are told:

It’s urgent.
It’s necessary.
It’s strategic.

But we are not shown:

• A clear audit trail
• A full spending report
• A defined endgame

Meanwhile, at home:

Energy bills are crushing families.

Public services are stretched.

Infrastructure is crumbling.

Foreign aid decisions move at lightning speed.

Domestic relief moves at glacial speed.

You don’t have to oppose Ukraine to ask questions.

You don’t have to side with Russia to demand accountability.

Half a billion pounds is not spare change.
It’s your money.

And transparency should not be optional.
