It turns out that 70% of races are uncompetitive because Dems aren’t competing in rural areas and Republicans aren’t competing in most urban areas. Most of the country is a one-party system. So there’s a lot of opportunity to do some good.

For the record I’m for women’s reproductive rights and common sense gun safety regulations as are the majority of Americans. You can want these things regardless of party affiliation. My question is why are we not getting these things?

I’m an entrepreneur and enjoy building things and solving problems. Breaking up the duopoly and giving people more genuine choices requires a lot of things; ballot access is very difficult to attain for example, by design. You need a lot of energized people and resources.

Now here’s the game they will play. They will try to slot you into a left - right bucket; are you a MPP or Green or conservative? What are you for? Any choice you make pushes you into a corner and turns off half the country thus making your movement unsuccessful. Duopoly wins.

It turns out that everyone wants a better option or more choice for different reasons. Can you bring people together of different views and say, “Let’s make this system open for everyone, and hash it out then after we actually have a real chance and voice?” It’s your only shot.
