At #MadlangaCommission, IDAC State Advocate Drushantha Ramsamy testified that, during a meeting with MP Fadiel Adams, he showed the investigative team messages on his cellphone relating to the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT).

According to Ramsamy, Adams said the messages had been received either directly from then-Minister Senzo Mchunu or via Cedric Nkabinde, and that they were allegedly from Lt Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi concerning the PKTT.

Ramsamy told the commission that she did not read the messages, saying she was not interested in their contents and handed the phone back to Adams. She further indicated that the events following 6 January 2025 became even more concerning and would be addressed in her second statement.

The evidence forms part of the commission’s examination of the flow of information surrounding the Crime Intelligence investigations and the handling of material linked to the disputed Section 27 process.
