@conservmillen Yes to allll of this. Also - she’s freezing eggs, not embryos. Frozen eggs alone have a low success rate. My guess is she’ll go for a sperm donor, she’s not going to have kids with this dude.
@RelatablewABS This is correct. I got married at 35 and struggled to get and stay pregnant. 3 kids and 7 losses later, I’m 43 and would cut off my right arm for a 4th kid. 40 is not the time to start.
@KristanHawkins My pastor’s daughter got pregnant at 16 and nobody missed a beat. We threw her a huge shower, donated lots of our old baby items and were on call with her to talk through pregnancy and birth. Now he’s 2!
@abbythelibb_ I so appreciate you. This is genuinely a good gut check for me. I’ve had 7 losses, it takes forever to get pregnant etc. I envy accidental pregnancies. But I am humbled knowing that God allows suffering in different ways for different purposes. And He is still good to us both.
@emzanotti My husband and i basically never knew our grandparents for different reasons and I don’t feel like we missed that much? My kids see theirs weekly and it’s a whole new world for us. Nonsense.
@mrs_alyse This is what I pray happens to me. 7 losses, babies at 37, 39 and 41. Praying for another at 43…maybe 45? After loss you want allllllll of them.
@emzanotti You’re giving me hope. I think. See I WANT to be pregnant in my 40s (I’m 43). Just lost one in May. My God isn’t hindered by age if He wants to get something done.
@howertonjosh Josh I needed that today as I grieve my 7th miscarried baby - I should be finding out the gender now, not packing away the baby clothes. I know some day I will thank God for not answering my prayers for these littles - that day feels far off but it is nearer than I know today.
@ThemBeforeUs THIS!!! I want everyone to realize this. We are shocked by what this couple did but choose not to be shocked by what’s done in IVF labs because we can’t see it.
@bethanyshondark I am 1 of 3 girls growing up so I was genuinely scared to have a son. I didn’t know what to do with him. Now he’s 4 and amazing. I regret the time I spent not enjoying his little boyness. I pray every day for God to give us another boy so I can celebrate him this time.
@megbasham Meagan I needed this. I do not have cancer, I have recurrent miscarriages and have just lost my 7th. I know the late night googling survival statistics too well. He does not let a hair on our head fall unnoticed. Listen to Dana Dirksen “Five Sparrows.”
@bethanyshondark We are 2nd gen homeschoolers and this bothers me. I see 1st gen who are falling off the Charlotte mason deep end. I know plenty of homeschool graduates who didn’t get the education they needed and I see what it looks like at age 40. Not pretty.
@emzanotti I’ve had 2 AMAs and 1 geriatric baby (and 7 losses) and am determined to have another dang baby in my 40s if it kills me (which it might). Major congrats. You are giving me hope.
@ProLifeIVF@J_K_Wood@ThemBeforeUs And isn’t that why all prolifers would agree we don’t abort based on NIPT testing? So why is it different when the baby is outside the body?
