the coolest unofficial pokemon game that turned the biggest dream of players into reality.

back in 2015, a dedicated developer named reinhartmax started working on pokemon fire ash, a massive fan made game that lets you live ash ketchum’s entire anime journey in one continuous adventure.

you start exactly like ash: waking up late, rushing to professor oak’s lab, and ending up with the reluctant pikachu after all the starters are already taken. from there you embark on one unbroken journey across multiple full regions, from kanto all the way through johto, hoenn, sinnoh, unova, kalos, alola, galar, and even the orange islands.

the world is connected, the national dex features over 900 pokemon, and you collect dozens of badges along the way. the game also includes mega evolution, z-moves, dynamax, and gigantamax.

fire ash was built with rpg maker xp and pokemon essentials (so it’s a standalone fan game rather than a traditional rom hack). it has been actively updated for years, with version 3.6 receiving multiple bug-fix patches, while the team continued pushing toward version 3.7 and beyond.

reinhartmax and the contributors who joined later managed to pack every pokemon fan’s dream into the epic anime pokemon journey.
