Demanding that you stay in the country for two years post-house job should be illegal, and I hope the ARD isn’t seeing it as some sort of victory.
If this passes, the goalposts will shift some years down the line. It’s just crazy how MDCN can come up with whatever they want.
I had to the fly my mom to india for breast cancer surgery bc my country failed her
they shot my friend at endsars
I lost my cousin bc Nard doctors was on strike protesting tinubu
I buy solar 5m when tinubu dey give Chad 247 light
YOU'RE VERY MAD IF YOU SUPPORT TINUBU !
“Why are doctors leaving for overseas? We need them here. What can we do so they stay at home? It is deeply disappointing that, after taking the oath, people still choose not to serve here.” -Tinubu.
Pharoah is asking why people he enslaves want to leave. https://t.co/ZcRqAmruHq
Medical elders mehn.
Very quick to say "you're a clown, nothing in your head" during osce but them carry FWACP give the actual clown with nothing for head.
No wam.
7 years in medical school, 1 year of housemanship, 1 year of NYSC, several years of residency, and now 5 years for COGS
but Tinubu became a consultant overnight???
There’s no other course in Nigeria being held against their will after completing their degree and or NYSC year. So I genuinely don’t understand this move.
Increase salaries ❌
Provide proper equipments ❌
Reduce work hours ❌
Employ more doctors ❌
Allow doctors to find greener pastures ❌
Solution .
Lock them all in the country to suffer ✅. (Such a smart decision 🤦)
Nigerian Medical Association @nationalnma,
I alerted you to the rumours that MDCN requires two years of medical practice, before COGS is released.
Now, it is allegedly FIVE YEARS?
Are you not going to ask questions?
YOUR SILENCE IS COMPLICITY.
One of the clearest signs that a country does not truly value its healthcare system is how it treats its health workforce.
You cannot underpay them, overwork them, subject them to inhumane conditions, and then restrict their freedom to leave. ENKR
I need young Nigerian doctors and medical students to start being extremely vocal about policies that are being strategized to tie us down to Nigeria!!
Horrible salaries! Crazy hours
@MDCNOfficial@nationalnma why are these stringent policies even existing!!!
@Samuel_aknk Fix up the epileptic health sector to curb the Japa syndrome, and perhaps incentivise those who still wield the courage to practise here? “NO.”
Stifle people’s dreams and pursuit of a better chance at decent medical practice? “They take the front-row seats”
I mean, why not?!
MDCN is now restricting the issuance of Certificate of Good Standing to 5 years post graduation from medical school.
In other words, they won't verify your licence to practise to register or practise as a doctor in another country until 5 years after graduating from medical sch
