@SandraZelinsky That's just insane. When I was a child I used to have my mom speak for me at appointments. I had a Doctor who told me if I didnt start advocating for myself, he wouldn't treat me, I was 15 at the time, it was one of the BEST things that ever happened to me.

@IBDMoms I am horrible at packing an emergency kit. I have had an ostomy for 27 years and never bring extra with me, unless im.going on vacation. I've had some huge disasters and have I learned?? Nope. I need to start packing ostomy supplies, my meds, a change of clothes.etc
