@WolfUpBeesDown@fancydawncards@whatsontapnba Zero %? Kawhi wanted LA, Raptors traded 4 him anyway. Year later, they were champions. Stars have preferences, but unless they have veto power, teams control the trade. Hornets has the assets 2 make moves. Since you brought up the Lakers, they’re in worse shape than Charlotte. 😂
@WolfUpBeesDown@fancydawncards@whatsontapnba There are only 1 player with a full no trade clause and 11 with a partial out of 450 players. So yes Hornets will use it for next year. I like to speak facts, Or did you also forget Luka was traded without his permission lol 4 a player no longer on Dallas.🤣😂
@WolfUpBeesDown@fancydawncards@whatsontapnba You're proving my point. Charlotte had flashes with Melo, but it never became sustainable. Last year isn't this year's roster either. Kon & Miller developed, & Coby showed he could produce with the starters. Charlotte isn't dependent on one player anymore. That's the difference.
@WolfUpBeesDown@fancydawncards@whatsontapnba And guess what? The Hornets have 12 first-round picks/rights over the next 7 years, a $40M+ trade exception, and future cap flexibility. Yet people are crying over a player who’s spent more time on the PS5 than on the court. 😂 I like facts, not feelings.
@WolfUpBeesDown@fancydawncards@whatsontapnba Hornets didn’t get this close until Kon arrived. Kon & Miller were major reasons for that success. Melo played his part, but Charlotte still produced when Coby ran with the 1st unit. Charlotte upgraded its assets. It’s about building the better team, not having the biggest name.
Myles Turner wouldn't just improve Charlotte at center—he could change how the entire team plays defense. Turner gives this young team something it doesn't have: a defensive safety net. That's why Charlotte should make the call. Sabonis would be my 2nd option.
Trade idea: Hornets get Myles Turner. Bucks get Dorian Finney-Smith, Grant + 2nd round picks. Charlotte adds the rim protection, size & shooting it needs while keeping Miller, Kon, Naz, Coby, Grayson Allen, Moussa & the young core intact. Bucks get expiring contracts & vets
Myles Turner to Charlotte makes too much sense. The Hornets have plenty of scoring with Brandon Miller, Kon Knueppel, Naz Reid and Coby white. What they need is a proven rim protector who can stretch the floor. Turner brings shot-blocking, size, playoff experience and shooting.
@brasilcoast2 Some people are not aware that in his 6 years the the Wolves he had 50+ games where he started and averaged 18 points and 8+ rebounds. He is a perfect pick and pop player for Miller and Kon
@XavierSupreme_ I am a Hornets fan, but I understand why Hornets did this. Melo played 70+ games but under minutes restriction. Melo needs a new place to shine and the Hornets can't spend 200mil on a player that has never took his team to the playoffs.
@ERMERGERDERN@jtoll17@malquiza8 I want Ball back in Charlotte. I wouldn't be surprised if Cody told Jeff Peterson that bringing him back only makes sense if he's competing for a starting role. Plus, the Hornets just drafted Christian Anderson Jr., who already has established chemistry with Hannes Steinbach.
NBA Draft Lottery should be based on a 3-year losing percentage.
NBA Draft reform:
Worst 3-year record = #1 pick.
Next worst = #2.
And so on.
If last year’s worst team makes the playoffs?
They move to 10+ based on finish.
Reward sustained struggle.
Not one-year tanking.
