なぜ今、Domaなのか。
日本コミュニティ向けに、DomainFiをできるだけわかりやすくまとめます。

ドメインは、インターネット上の住所であり、ブランドそのものです。
https://t.co/UGdLu8LYjt や https://t.co/quBap2hyoJ のように、人が覚えられる名前を、実際のサーバーへつなぐ仕組み。
これがDNSです。

ただ、この巨大な市場には��年の課題がありました。
価値はあるのに流動性が低い。
売買のハードルが高い。
Web3のアプリや金融の仕組みと、ほとんどつながっていない。

@domaprotocol が取り組んでいるのは、この層を置き換えることではありません。
既存のDNSを土台にしたまま、ドメインをオンチェーンで扱えるようにすることです。

Doma Protocolは、従来のインターネットドメインをトークン化し、プログラマブルなRWAとして扱うために設計されたチェーンです。
公式の表現で言えば、数億件規模のドメインに流動性を開く、DNS準拠のインフラです。

ポイントは「DNS first」。
ドメインの権威は、これまで通りDNS側の登録にあります。
チェーン上のトークンを持っているだけで、自動的にDNS上の登録者になるわけではありません。
移転や本人確認、コンプライアンスのルールも残ります。

だからDomaは「DNSの代替」ではなく、「DNSの上に乗る検証可能な層」です。
既存ドメインはそのままウェブサイトとして動き続けながら、取引、分割所有、DeFi、アイデンティティ、決済といった用途へ広げられます。

これが DomainFi です。
ドメインを静的な登録物で終わらせず、資本市場として機能させる発想です。

背景には、レジストラやレジストリと連携する現実的な設計があります。
ICANNの枠組みを無視して別ルートを作るのではなく、既存のインターネット秩序の上でイノベーションを進める。
D3がICANNへ公式コメントを提出しているのも、この姿勢の表れだと思います。

日本で伝える意味も大きいです。
ドメインは企業、個人、クリエイター、自治体まで、すでに生活とビジネスのインフラになっています。
一方で「オンチェーン化」と聞くと、難しさや規制の不安が先に立ちやすい。
だからこそ、正しい順番で説明する必要があります。

私が日本コミュニティでやりたいことは、3つです。

1. 正確に伝える
DNSを壊す話ではなく、DNSを活かす話だと説明する。

2. 参加しやすくする
専門用語を減らし、イベント、解説、Q&Aで入口をつくる。

3. 現地の文脈に落とす
日本のユーザー、ドメインオーナー、ビルダーが「自分ごとにできる」形で届ける。

Domaは、Web3の新しい名前システムを増やすプロジェクトではありません。
すでに存在するインターネットの基盤資産を、次の10年使える形へ更新するプロジェクトです。

D3 Globalは、ICANNの技術検討グループ（TSG）が公表した「gTLDと代替ネームシステムの統合に関する初期報告書」に対し、正式なパブリックコメントを提出しました。

論点はシンプルです。従来のドメインを、DNSの安全性と安定性を損なわずに、どのようにチェーン上へつなげるか。

D3の立場は明確で、DNS上の登録こそが権威ある基盤であるべきだ、というものです。その前提を守ったうえで、レジストリやレジストラが新しい仕組みを試せる余地も残すべきだとしています。

Doma Protocolは、既存ドメインにプログラマビリティ、透明性、相互運用性を加えるための層です。取引、アイデンティティ、決済といった用途も、ここから広がります。

ただし注意点もあります。チェーン上のトークン保有者が、そのままDNS上の登録者になるわけではありません。ドメイン移転は、これまで通りレジストラの本人確認や関連するコンプライアンス要件に従う必要があります。

��のためD3は DNS first を支持しています。先にDNS側で登録と検証を完了し、その後に対応するオンチェーンの識別子を発行する、という順序です。

要するに、DomaはDNSの置き換えではありません。DNSの上に、検証可能で組み合わせやすいチェーン層を���ね、既存ドメインの価値をもっと引き出すことが目的です。
