The 3rd planning meeting for the Uganda–Kenya Coast Tourism Innovation & Summit is happening now, chaired by the Consul General of Uganda Consulate General in Mombasa, Amb. Herbert Kiguli.

In this meeting, we have also brought on board innovators Kristy Bamboo and Pearl AI, whom we hope to showcase as part of Uganda’s tourism innovation ecosystem in Kenya.

The summit will take place on 26th–27th October 2026 at Sarova Hotel, Mombasa.

RWENZORI MARATHON 2026 | UCC ENGAGEMENT

By 7:00am yesterday 10.08.26 , @wekesa_amos and @CMasiga were already at the Uganda Communications Commission, ahead of their 7:30am meeting with the Executive Director, Hon. @UCUcedd

In tourism, we live by one rule: Better one hour early than one minute late.
It’s the same principle that has guided the @RwenzoriMarathn for the last 4 years the race has never started even a minute late.

At exactly 7:30am, the Executive Director was in the boardroom.
By 8:00am, we had clear resolutions.

The focus: Improving internet connectivity in KASESE.
This year, for the first time, World Athletics will livestream the Rwenzori Marathon globally putting millions of eyes on Uganda 🌍📺
We cannot afford to drop the signal.

Hon. @UCC_ED pledged his continued support to the marathon. A true friend of Rwenzori he has even run the race before.
His Kikorongo Lodge is fully booked by runners, so @wekesa_amos has offered him accommodation at Elephant Plains Lodge.

Kasese is ready.
The Rwenzori Marathon is ready.
And the world is watching.
