@MetaGamesGX When talking all timers you gotta bring in the face of Goat himself. Limited and then banned within a year of release and when it came back it remained playable for half a decade before the game caught up
While fixing stuff retroactively is largely a dud without a rule change, giving continuous cards a trigger for if they're removed by an opp's card fixes the problem by forcing your opponent to choose between two (ideally) good effects instead of outing a continuous for free
A lot of good points here but noteworthy that Power Patron tops by virtue of fact that its "continuous spells" (Pend scales) plus upon removal. In this thread he talks about solutions for the general problem and I do think Power Patron is right in the sweet spot (1/2)
As someone who started making content around the balance of modern decks, I constantly think about this incredible thread discussing how decks are flawed in design. They do well going first, but fall flat going second.
This is important when looking at the WCQ results ๐งต-
@dwardwicks The worst part is a hypothetical world where T set pass is a consistently effective play in 2005 it makes PACMAN one of the best things you could be doing which they also would be entirely unable to tolerate
@Trashcatty@cerisbeech Special summoning face down is still considered a set, yes. Not only that but the restriction of the Enneacraft cards saying you can't Special Summon face-up makes their activation illegal under this card
@ShoXwavve I understand the sentiment but this card is also just straight up worse than Dark Law right? I really have no stake in this but it just doesn't seem like the right way to combat the double standard
@cerisbeech Falls into a category with similar effects like Honest where the effect is undeniably good and can come in handy but has a hard time finding a place with how the modern game is paced
@ExoticaDrago@minyang369@AprilShowerszzz No problem Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon, big fan of when you send 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck to the GY that Mentions Fallen of Albaz as material; banish 1 monster on the field
@Ranger_Halt_2@MetaGamesGX Oh card is nuts and super easy to summon but the extra material investment for the ED rip will always be at its best when it's basically free. Really good card design to make a generic that's at its best when played in its home archetype

Just saw a clip where someone was bragging about playing through 4 handtraps when two of those handtraps were Fuwa which resulted in all of one (1) draw
@atrocityTCG@Gnurrgard It's really funny when you hold it against decks that have lines into Droll though so you can bait them into playing a line that does absolutely lose to Droll
