@ItsGojover236 @sofymellow @eStarland I'd say actual worse rival in those game, even with the dlc is Marnie, because she is borderline non-existent. Wasted potential is Bede because the moment he does something interesting, he gets sidelined, and the dlc rivals are both heavily motivated by the player to get stronger

@ItsGojover236 @sofymellow @eStarland I wouldn't necessarily say he's a worse Hau, they both are very different characters at the end of the day. But Hop really isn't well written rival, he has a small slump near the mid to late game and suddenly decided he gonna be professor in postgame.

Hau's just there for vibes.

@teituyi1721461 @dcstardude_ @soulsilverart And as for your Mega point, you could be right, Mega Evos does restrict certain Pokémon, but most of those Pokémon are ones that already didn't seem like they could evolve further in terms of design. It's meant to be a change that isn't permanent that reinvents the design itself.
