“Suddenly, people were able to understand that they weren’t at fault: society was. They didn’t need to change: society needed to change.” – Shakespeare & Watson (2001) #stammeringpride

“Every time we stutter, we show someone how smart and funny people who stutter are. Every time we stutter, we make it easy for another person to stutter.” – Chris Constantino (2016) #stammeringpride
Excited to be talking about Proud Stutter this week in Austin at the Independent News Sustainability Summit. Kudos to organizers @LIONPubs@fundjournalism & @TexasTribune for making this happen!

(1) Happy #ISAD2022! This week, as I stepped out of my comfort zone to advocate for #pws at the local government level, I kept stumbling into the same lesson about meta-advocacy over and over and again. Sometimes, it seems, you need to advocate for your right to advocate
Thank you Maya @ProudStutter for pioneering this work in SF and for guiding Steff and I through the process! Happy that both #denver and #boulder city councils made these proclamations to officially observe #isad in their cities!
📶 No, it's not the Wi-Fi acting up again. #ItsHowWeTalk
