@BetamaxBeast Happened to me a lot when I worked at Goodyear. I suspect it’s because you’re a captive audience and it would be bad customer service to disagree with them. So they think you politely listening is actually approval of their bad worldview.

What did we do for fun before cellphones? One day my brother put a t-shirt on an inflatable beach ball and named him Ziggy. We played with Ziggy all day. The best game was when we tied him to the tetherball pole.

All attempts to recreate Ziggy lacked that spark of spontaneity.
