@DanNeidle I would go further than this, there are employers who have told their staff that passing the next tax bracket is detrimental to them as the basis for not giving pay rises.

This was covered when I was at school but nobody listened sadly

@AGKD123 @postoctobrist He's just another politician at the whim of his perceived supporters. He has no ideology, no core belief or even desire to improve things for his country.

Like all of them at the moment, they want to be elected, they don't want to make things better or even have a plan

@Misslizvicious1 @Reddit Oh, I can finally do something for you after all these years. Months had names not numbers and there were words for periods of the month. Famously the ides were the middle dates of the month. For years you reference the emperor. 5th year of Julius Caesar for instance

@SuellaBraveman Oh don't be pathetic, this is why you receive no respect from the public. You're a former member of his majesty's government, act like it. You will always represent this country for good or bad and the fact you don't understand that proves you should never have been near the job.

@SuellaBraveman It doesn't matter, one of the responsibilities that has always come with holding a position like you did is that you continue to represent it after you depart. You should be setting an example and letting the police and courts do their job.

@SuellaBraveman As a former home secretary, I would expect you to know that the only place the truth of any of this can be decided is the courts. A statesperson would say that, say they are aware of differing views and reiterate that this is for the police and courts to decide.

@BladeoftheS I don't remember my uni playing it when I graduated. If you are having to rely on flags and anthems to encourage patriotism then you have a far bigger problem that needs addressing

@mikegalsworthy My understanding is that as long as they are muzzled in public and have 3rd party insurance they should be ok. You can get them destroyed in exchange for £200 though

@RussInCheshire I disagree, militarily we've got carriers again along with planes. We didn't have this 3 years ago. We have a democrat in the whitehouse, not Trump. Army doesn't need tanks down there. Would politicians be up to it? Likely not but we're better placed now than we have been

@DPJHodges Because doing that would help? No, he had a choice. Does he quit and shout a lot, confusing the message or does he stay and do his best to guide policy. He chose to stay and help. He wasn't decision maker, he was advisor. Now he's explaining that advice and how it was used

@Conservatives Oh really, and there was me thinking that the last Labour government had lowered borrowing only for it to shoot up again under this government. I was sure I'd seen proof as well but if the Conservative party say it then I must have misunderstood. Or they're lying?
