@omgsidewalks It's simple folks. This group just wants to get paid to do nothing and still have a high quality of life and access to (your) resources. They think if they cry hard enough that they will get it and somehow it will work itself out. Millions have already starved trying this.
@famexbt I am an engineer and my nice 1600 sq.ft on .7 acre would sell for about $260k. It sounds like you need to move somewhere you can afford to live.
@iamalmostlegend@itsnwts Elon Musks entire net worth wouldn't solve poverty. Source- we have already spent over $1T there and they still starve and live in mud huts.
@FrankLeeSG@iam_biglad1 Those yachts arent made by setting cash on fire. They are providing jobs to skilled craftsmen and salesmen, suppliers and more. Shifting from income tax to sales tax sounds great to me though.
@FrankLeeSG@iam_biglad1 I travel around to different plants and help them solve problems. Usually by getting equipment running again or helping automate processes so they can keep their businesses here in the U.S.
@pmc_radio@ervieche@jeremyct I wish I could, My sons mother and I arent together. We live about 6 mins from each other now so we can exchange him and do stuff together as a family easily. Also I travel for work and it is too far from the area I cover.
I am a millennial. Also, my family has a lake house that my grandpa bought the land for in the 80's. He got a great deal on it because nobody was really out there at the time. He built a conservative home and added to it over the years. Now it is worth about $1.5M. My grandpa passed away from covid in 2021. The taxes and insurance are a fortune now. I expect it to be sold by my dad once my grandma passes because he has overextended himself his whole life and will use it as a means to retire. Our whole family (my son included) have enjoyed it our whole lives and one day it will be gone. The reality is none of us can afford something that expensive so it won't be passed to me. I make a good living, but unless I sold my home and moved out there. I fear the day it is sold, but it isn't mine and never was. I am just grateful for the memories I have already. And hopefully we can make many more before its gone. OP is just rage baiting folks, my story is real and I am ok with it.
@kylecordes@jeremyct Perhaps he forgoed retirement planning in order to provide a great childhood for his kids and now they are grown with places of their own and its time to move forward. If he is renting a place to live now. He can't afford to buy a $340,000 second home.
Yeah, I did. She had a right to hit him, spray him with pepper spray, or even grow up and move her illegally parked car out of the handicap spot. But she decided to pull a gun on him because he called her on it. A disabled veteran is unlikely to be intimidated by they behavior. He was showing her he wasnt afraid. Not attacking her.
@SeeRacists@TS4Dummies Watch the video. She gets out with the gun and starts yelling at him with the gun in her hand. Then he approaches. You can't stand there and taunt and threaten someone and then shoot them when they get mad about it. If you were the aggressor you cant claim self defense.
