@InklessBrush I find it kinda cute that Syrie used to sew and even made Cress's coat. He must have felt some kind of remorse or love for her, even after the things he did to her.

@InklessBrush First is a flashback right before death, showing how Cress killed his siblings to rule after his father's death and how he got bored. Sometime, he experimented on his daughter using a demonic sword, and she came back for revenge, killing him and giving the throne to her brother.

Cress was experimenting with demon magic specifically to create a weapon. Syrie probably isn't the only one.

Dad was killed. I assume Cress killed him, or all three of his kids did together; by the way there were happy about it.

Convergence is normally the event when a Manifestation's will overtakes a Resonance user by fusing their Flux in a chemical reaction, where the target is the base and the user is the acid. This causes their bodies and abilities to mutate, resembling the original Manifestation.

Pressure Behind The Heart is a Science Fantasy story with Horror elements that I'm working on, with the eventual goal of a comic series or animated show! Those options are still far in the future, but for now, here are some summarized concepts.

Resonance is an event in which a Manifestation is similar enough in personality or goal to someone with high Flux compatibility and grants them abilities based on said Manifestation's powers.

A person can also gain a Personal Resonance with no Manifestation, but it's much rarer.

When a person is doused in fresh Flux, the liquid burns through their soul, leaving a unique burn scar, sometimes resembling stained glass, typically on their chest or forehead. This mark grants a stronger soul; however, the energy it gives off is appealing to Manifestations.

Manifestations take on the appearance and abilities based on the ideas and emotions that the Flux that was used to create them was made up of. The filter-like plane only allows purer Flux to leak through, meaning only more grounded and weaker Manifestations can be born this way.
