Bug #2 Herb Nodes: Could Not Gather with [E]
Players standing next to herb nodes (the collectible cubes) would see the "[E] Gather Herb" prompt but pressing E had no effect.
Root cause: The E key handler for the Mining zone was intercepting all nearby resource interactions including herbs and returning early without collecting them. Herbs were never meant to require the mining flow, but the handler did not distinguish between ore nodes and herb nodes.
Fix: The mining handler now only activates for actual ore nodes (type: ore). Herbs fall through to their own instant-collect branch, which works correctly regardless of which zone you're in.

Two reported issues have been identified and patched in today's update. Both fixes are now live at https://t.co/X96LXnJTP5.
Bug #1 Farming: Could Not Harvest Crops with [E]
Players who entered the Farming Fields by spawning at their last saved position (rather than walking through the portal) were unable to harvest mature crops using the E key. The prompt "[E] Harvest Ready!" would appear correctly on screen, but pressing E did nothing.
Root cause: The harvest handler required an internal zone variable to be set to 'farming', but that variable only updated when a player physically walked through a portal not on page load. Players who rejoined the game mid-session at their saved position in the farming area had the wrong zone state, so the E key did nothing despite the prompt showing.
Fix: The harvest check now uses physical proximity to the crop plot as the gate no zone variable required. If you're close enough to see the prompt, E will harvest.

What's Being Built
The quest system will introduce structured objectives that guide players through the world with real rewards attached. Rather than a passive open world where you decide everything on your own, quests will give you direction, narrative context, and guaranteed payouts for your time.
Quest Types Planned
📋 Gathering Quests NPCs like Farmer Rootbeard will issue requests for specific crops, ores, or fish. Complete the order, collect the reward. Simple, repeatable, economy-linked.
⚔️ Combat Quests Bounty boards in the Combat Zone will task players with defeating specific enemies or reaching kill thresholds. Higher-tier enemies, bigger bounties.
🏗️ Crafting Commissions Merchants and crafters will post orders for specific crafted items. This ties the quest system directly into the crafting economy creating real demand for Artisans and Alchemists.
🗺️ Exploration Quests Discover hidden locations, reach specific coordinates, or find secret areas of the world. These quests reward the curious and punish players who only stick to the starting zones.
🔗 Chain Quests Multi-step quests that unlock story content and deeper world lore. These will reveal the history of Mythreal who built the castles, why the floating islands exist, what the crystals are.
Class Bonuses Apply
Quest rewards will respect class passives. Farmers get yield bonuses on gathering quests. Hunters get combat quest multipliers. The quest system isn't class-agnostic your choice of class will matter more than ever.
Timeline
Quest system is planned for an upcoming content update. We will not give a hard date until the build is ready but the groundwork (NPC infrastructure, reward systems) is already part of the game engine.

The Current State
Right now, Mythreal runs a live in-game economy powered entirely by Gold earned through farming, mining, fishing, combat, and trade. The game is fully playable, the economy is active, and players are already building wealth inside the world.
The $MYTH token exists in the game interface as a placeholder you'll see it marked "Soon" across the UI. That label is intentional and honest. $MYTH has not yet been deployed on-chain. We will not change that label until it is truly live.
What's Being Built
The on-chain integration is in active development. When $MYTH launches, here's how it will connect to the existing game economy:
A Gold → $MYTH exchange mechanism players who have accumulated in-game Gold will be able to convert it to real $MYTH tokens at a defined rate
$MYTH-gated premium content exclusive pets, cosmetics, and features unlockable only with $MYTH
Full on-chain wallet connectivity players who connect a Solana wallet will be positioned first when the exchange goes live

Deep beneath the surface of Mythreal lies one of the most powerful economies in the game: the ore system. Every ore you mine is directly tied to the crafting system, and mastering the supply chain between the Mining Caverns and the Market is how the most successful players build real wealth.
📍 Where to Mine Mining Caverns Zone
All ores in Mythreal are found exclusively in the Mining Caverns, located in the eastern section of the open world. You'll recognize it by the dark stone entrances and the echo of pickaxes. This is the dedicated extraction zone no enemies to fight, no distractions. Just raw resources waiting for whoever comes prepared.
🪨 Ore Tiers & What They're For
🔸 Stone : The most common material. Used in basic construction recipes and early-game crafting. Plentiful, fast to mine, low sell value but high volume.
🔸 Coal : Fuels smelting and processing recipes. Required as a reagent when refining higher-tier ores. Don't ignore it early : you'll need it later.
🔸 Iron Ore : First real crafting metal. Used in tools, basic weapons, and structural recipes. Sells well at the Market when iron is in demand.
🔸 Gold Ore : Mid-tier material with dual value: craft into gold bars for high-value recipes, OR sell raw at the Market for serious coin. Gold Ore veins take more power to break come with an upgraded pickaxe.
🔸 Mythril Ore : Rare, deep-vein ore found only in the lower sections of the Caverns. Required for advanced crafting recipes that produce the best gear in the game. Mythril is always in demand. If you find a vein, mine it completely.
🔸 Starforge Ore : The rarest material in Mythreal. Found in hidden deep pockets that not every player knows about. Used in the most powerful crafting recipes in the game. High effort, maximum reward.
🔨 Crafting Connection
Every ore feeds the crafting system. Raw ores → refine → bars → combine with other materials → gear, tools, or sellable items. The Artisan and Alchemist classes get crafting time bonuses pair with a dedicated miner and you have one of the strongest economic combos in the game.

Bring a higher-tier pickaxe before heading to the lower Caverns weak pickaxes can't break mythril or starforge veins
Fill your inventory before leaving the Caverns reward patience and preparation
Check the Market before you sell sometimes raw ore is worth more than bars if demand spikes

Don't skip the town. It builds the foundation for everything else.
🌾 Farming Fields is where patience pays off. Buy seeds from Farmer Rootbeard, plant them in the soil, and come back when they're ready to harvest. Different crops take different amounts of time wheat is quick, mythbloom takes patience, voidblossom rewards only the most dedicated farmers. Crops can be sold at the Market or used in crafting recipes. Farmers get bonus yield. Every harvest earns XP and moves you closer to the next level.
⛏️ Mining Caverns hides the real wealth of Mythreal underground. Stone, coal, iron, gold, mythril, and the legendary starforge ore are all waiting to be extracted. You'll need the right pickaxe and enough power to break through the harder veins. Mine, sell, craft the mineral economy feeds directly into the Market and crafting system, making miners essential to the entire server's economy.
⚔️ Combat Zone is where you fight. Slimes, goblins, forest trolls each enemy drops gold and rare items. Every class has a unique ultimate ability activated here. Hunters get bonus drops. Farmers unleash Nature's Wrath. Merchants flood the field with a Coin Storm. The Combat Zone is where your class truly defines you, and where the biggest rewards and biggest risk live.
🎣 Fishing Spots & Hidden Areas are scattered throughout the world for those willing to explore beyond the obvious paths. Cast your line, wait for the bite, and reel in rare fish worth serious gold at the Market. Hidden waterfalls and deep dock spots offer better catches for experienced anglers.

How to Play & Quest Guide
You start your journey in the Spawn Zone, a peaceful village at the heart of a vast fantasy world. The moment you arrive, Elder Sion the wise old guardian of the village walks up to you and hands you your first mission. He tells you that the four great zones of Mythreal are drifting apart, something ancient is stirring, and you are the one who needs to find out why. That is your story. That is where everything begins.
Your First Quest: Know the World
Elder Sion sends you out to explore all four zones the Farming Fields, Crystal Caverns, Misty Lake, and Battle Forest. Each zone feels completely different. The Farming Fields are wide open and peaceful, full of crops and friendly faces. The Crystal Caverns glow with strange minerals deep underground. The Misty Lake stretches out in eerie silence with fog rolling across the water. The Battle Forest is where danger lives monsters roam freely and every step feels like a fight waiting to happen. Walk through all four, come back to Elder Sion, and your first quest is complete. You earn gold, XP, and your legend officially begins.
How Quests Work
Every NPC in the world has something they need done. You walk up to them, press E to talk, and they tell you their problem in plain words bring me ten pieces of stone, kill five wolves in the forest, deliver this letter to the merchant across the lake. You accept the quest, go do it, and return to the same NPC when it is done. Your quest log in the top left tracks everything so you never forget what you are working on. One quest at a time, one step at a time that is how you progress in Mythreal.
Fighting Monsters and Completing Combat Quests
When an NPC sends you into the Battle Forest, things get serious. Monsters spawn across the trees and open ground, and you need to hunt them down to complete your mission. You fight, they drop loot, you pick it up, and once you have hit your target count you head back to collect your reward. The further into the forest you go, the stronger the monsters get but the gold and XP rewards grow with them. Your combat quests are where the real money is made.
Gathering and Crafting Quests
Not every quest is a fight. Some NPCs need raw materials ore from the caves, wood from the forest, crops from the fields. You go to the right zone, gather what they asked for, and bring it back. Other quests go one step further and ask you to actually craft something yourself turn that ore into a sword, combine those herbs into a potion before delivering the finished item. These quests teach you how the crafting system works and reward you with some of the best gear and gold in the early game.
Keep Questing, Keep Growing
Every quest you finish adds to your gold, raises your level, and unlocks more of the world. Higher level means harder quests, bigger rewards, and access to parts of Mythreal that newer players have not seen yet. The NPCs across all five zones each have their own storylines and needs the Blacksmith wants weapons forged, the Farmer needs help with the harvest, the Market Master wants you to trade and earn. Follow their stories, complete their requests, and piece by piece you will understand the full world of Mythreal and your place in it.
Build Update UI & Interaction Fixes
We're building Mythreal step by step, openly. Here's exactly what was fixed in today's patch:
1. HUD Close Buttons Now Work The ✕ close buttons on Inventory, Quest Log, Marketplace, and Dialog windows were silently failing. Root cause: the click listeners were wired before the UI elements existed in the DOM. Moved all listeners to run after UI creation every close button now works correctly.
2. Market Buy Confirmation Fixed The Yes / No buttons on the buy confirmation popup were not responding. Same root cause as above. Both buttons are now fully functional.
3. Quest Offer Accept / Decline Fixed Clicking Accept or Decline on an NPC quest offer had no effect. Fixed quest acceptance and rejection now trigger as expected.
4. Player Count Toggle Fixed Clicking the online player count badge in the HUD now correctly opens and closes the online players list panel.
5. General Store UI Readability Overhaul Tab labels (GEAR / POTIONS / SEEDS / TOOLS / PETS) were rendered at 7px effectively invisible. Increased to 12px bold. Removed a stray browser-default button artifact that appeared on the panel. Applied square corners, consistent dark background, and proper hover states throughout the shop window.
6. Quest Log UI Polish Tab buttons given proper padding and font weight. Card borders and section headers now render cleanly without clipping.
Mythreal is in active development. More zones, quests, and the $MYTH token system are coming we'll share each update as it ships.
This is just the beginning. $MYTH token, NFT trading, and Season 2 content are on the roadmap. The players building their reputation and gold stacks now will be the veterans when the full economy launches.
